North Wales Newspapers required a feasibility study in association with Quantity Surveyors, Thornton Firkin, on the development of a new press centre accommodating the new KBA Commandore double width press. Various sites and options were considered before the construction of a purpose-built media centre at Deeside. Appointed for services and nominated to Eric Wright Construction for the building phase, the £4.5m project was completed within the tight timescale and budget.
